In steps Lisa started off being the slightly chubby one with the teenage girl figure ie a bit plump round the middle, where as the other two females in the group had already matured into women. Claires weight did seem to fluctuate quite a lot towards the end of steps, each time she did an interview she would look different, once she would wear a small spare tyre which would pop over the top of her jeans, and the next time she would have her bottoms pulled high over the top of it, then she would look to have a washboard stomach. When she started a solo career her weight seemed to be a little higher than usual whilst other stars looked tanned and gorgeous, and the style of music in the fashion had changed so she wasn't seen as a sex symbol as such.
