Hello everyone. My name is Jarrad Davis i grew up in Carnegie, PA. One year (1985 ish)My tee ball team (the Hills Heidelburg tee ball team) won every game that season. I am now 28 years old, i live in Burbank, OH.
Every time i think back to when i lived in Carnegie, i always think of the trips to Hills. The times that my mom needed to stop in to pick something up just for a minute and my brothers and i would drag her to the toy department. After my mom was pissed she would still buy us a slush puppie on the way out. the Hills store in Heidelburg, PA was a large part of my growing up.
I now work for a company called Velociti out of Kansas City. I am a mobile tech. I install and service many different products all over the country. My company had me on a large project for Advance Auto Parts mainly in the Pittsburg area. I took advantage of my time in Pittsburg and visited all the places i remembered, and i HAD to go to Hills. When i came down the road, it almost brought me to tears to see that my Hills was long gone. My purpose of my visit to Hills Heidelburg is another story.
After my mighty Tee Ball season Hills had our team picture on the wall right by the registers along with others. I showed it to my mom every time we came in. I was a little mad at people that didnt even look at the pictures (I was 8 years old give me some slack)our tee ball season lasted from spring untill fall and we didnt loose one game. i still have about 7 or 8 trophies from that season.
I was wondering if anyone knows where my team picture is or where it went. i fear that it got thrown out years ago. i thought i would take a chance and see if someone had the picture in their basement or something. i would love to have that picture and the setting. so if anyone knows anything about what might have happened to the picture please let me know at JDavis@velociti.us. I had alot of fun writing this and thinking about the past, even if you would like to just drop me a line feel free. Thanks for reading
Jarrad Davis
