She was indeed. I always thought that Annette Funicello was rather overrated. Cheryl was definitely better looking, and a better dancer. Not sure if she was a better singer or not, but Annette's own vocal range was rather limited.

There was an old Mouseketeer Reunion show that used to be played on the Disney Channel. Too bad Cheryl didn't have a bigger role in that. I don't know why, since she was part of the frontlining "red team" and one of their most popular stars. Go figger.

I wish the Disney Channel would show more of the classic Mickey Mouse Club shows. I don't understand why they don't think this would be marketable.
