 To echo the words of Manager, Paul Gallagher. Steve Dee is an excellent player. The problem has been that he's up against Michael Cole for a place in the team, and as we all know Cole has been United's most consistant player since he arrived at the club. Dee is probably too good just to leave on the bench, that is more than likely why he's in the reserves at the moment. His time will come I'm sure, he just needs to continue playing well in the reserves. One of the other problems is that Steve's an attack minded midfielder, similar to Cole, Ossie & Birchall, and they are all doing their jobs extremely well. Whilst Tony Morton is doing an excellent job in the holding role.

Gally doesn't overlook anyone from the reserves, and often recruits from within on recommendations from Terry.. What you've got to remember is that many of the players that are on the bench, are there because they are cover for our most vulnerable positions. With Cole & Ossie playing so well on the flanks, there hasn't been a great call for for cover in those areas. Our most vulnerable positions have been in attack (With Stuart Rudd being injured) and at left back. (Where John Brownrigg has also been injured) I think you will find a method in the management teams madness, and I for one have been impressed with the they have handled things.
