SAT-1-5-04-LUCAS SPORT 5-3 SKEM UTD RES.HT 3-1..Having to make six changes from wed night & playing on a hard,bumpy pitch did not help this young utd team.Defensive errors & over playing on the edge of their own box cost utd dearly--3-0 down after 30mins(1 a pen & 1 an o.g.)--But Skem fought back,& Gaz Berkley rifled a powerful shot just over the bar from an acute angle,before Carl Osman reduced the arrears on 40mins,after rounding the keeper.-The 2nd half was end to end with utd giving as good as they got--Jay McKane making it 2-4 on 70mins with a quick & clever free-kick from the edge of the box--Then Rawstorne,Robins & Osman all went close with only the Lucas keeper to beat.-Osman heading skem's 3rd goal from close range with just 2mins remaining..ALWAYS BEHIND & CHASING THE GAME, THE UTD LADS NEVER GAVE UP,& PLAYED RIGHT TO THE END(THIS HAS TO BE THE SKEM UTD WAY-SO WELL DONE BOYS)----M.O.M's--CARL OSMAN(2goals-a menace)-PAUL RAWSTORNE(a bulldozer)-IAN WARRILLOW(a lionheart)
