Skem didn't perform to their abilities in this quarter final of the Worthington Challenge Trophy, and hence went crashing out.

Clitheroe, on the back of a disappointing 5th round Vase defeat had more to play for perhaps.

The game for Skem was lost in midfield really, as both Chris Lee and Phil Cooney failed to impress. There was nothing in width and therefore the distribution was poor, however, Peter Holcroft tried his best in the centre, but it was too much work for one man.

The pressure in defence was bound to tell, and in the end Skem suffered a disappointing deteat at the hands of what was a pretty ordinary Clitheroe team.
