Subject: mijn grootste leed.

Geen verdriet groter dan het gemis van je kinderen,
geen verdriet groter dan hun leed, wat je niet kunt verhinderen.
Geen angst of zorg zo groot, wanneer je niet weet waar ze zijn,
niks kunnen doen, dat doet het meeste pijn.

Weten dat je kinderen gestorven zijn en sommigen ontsnapt en vrij,
maakt je minder onzeker, maar nooit echt blij.
Dit leed is niet te verwerken, alleen te onderdrukken,
waarvan de pogingen steeds weer mislukken.
