He was the son of the exilarch Hananiah (compare Exilarch). Hai Gaon, in "Sha'are Ẓedeḳ," p. 3a, seems to identify Bostanai with Haninai, and tells that he was given for wife a daughter of the Persian king Chosroes II. (died 628), by the calif Omar (died 644).

Also called Khatari Banoo all who fled to India and of them Married Mewar Rajput and other became the Banu Sassan or Royal Persian Army which the Kalderash Romani Gypsies the Royal family. The Banu Sassan or Persian Royal was called Alans in Europe or Alam in Portugal and Orlean in France which New Orlean name the Orlean French Royal family. and Alam in Portugal and Galicia Spain were Braganza and the all together were Orlean-Braganaza which Dom Perdo II the Empire of Brazilian came from.
