The advent of the Internet and this type of communication takes it one step further than simply sitting and reading a book. Granted, I wholly advocate reading. However, the ability to share thoughts with others, to have comment returned to those thoughts, and to engage in dialogue cannot and should not be underestimated.
Moreover, to sponsor thought in another -- and we are hopeful it is intelligent thought -- has been the goal of all authors and writers since the literary endeavor began. The use of computers for this purpose adds to the body of animated exchange between people instead of the inanimate exchange with a piece of machinery.
Since we all act out of self-interest, including yourself, the ability to denigrate what can be achieved without adding a solutions is truly a waste of effort and time. Choose, instead, to take part in a fashion that is inspires exchange between people. Otherwise, you have done nothing mor than waste resources and time.
