You know that is gross, but true. You should see how much food KFC throws out at night, for example. It's all in containers too, 'cause it's been under a heat lamp all night. You can wait for them to toss out the food and walk back into KFC. Then go directly to the dumpster. Your food is still waiting for you, nice and warm, in sealed containers.

I've had plenty of gutter punk and goth friends who were homeless, who had to learn how to survive on the streets. They taught me a thing or two about how things in life are taken for granted. You never know until you are there, after you've lost the things you thought you never would and didn't care about.

Food, for example. Running water. A toilet. Etc. I had no money and was sleeping on relatives couches and what not, I had just a few clothes .... and had to wake up at 4:30 a.m. to walk to the parks in order to dig through trash cans to find empty beer and soda cans to get money for food to eat. After living like that, you end up treating things you posses in the future, as well as people, a bit more respectfully.
