As a reader I for one would not confuse someone with being evasive to that extent. Possibly the 2 does have relevance BUT will certainly not help when there are no more details given. I would definetly contact the reader and ask "I have been a bit confused about the indight given regarding the number 2 is it possible you could shed some more light on it?."
