I think you have been doing the right thing. You are not limiting her in any way by stopping negative energy from being around her. That automatic writing book clearly spells out just how important that protection is.
I have read some of that book. It does not put me off because she says herself that she knew nothing of spiritual protection and the only thing to fear is fear itself.
Your daughter will find her own path with her Mum protecting at guiding her all the way.
