Hi Vickie.
Not knowing where you�re at now I will start from the beginning. Meditation is the cornerstone to connecting with your higher self. That is what you are using when you get these psychic premonitions. We originally come from sprit we incarnate on this Earth to learn certain lessons. Then go back to sprit. (That�s very basic) We all vibrate at a certain energy level Sprit being a pure energy being vibrates much faster then we can. With Meditation you work towards increasing your vibration, whether you are aware of it or not. As your physical body increases its vibration you become more connected to your true self.
It also allows you to concentrate on a specific spiritual area that you want to develop. If you want to be a Medium your body spiritually and physically will start to go through changes to allow you to make easer contact with people on the other side. If reading Tarot is your thing having a greater connection to your higher self will improve this also. Nothing can happen that you don't want to happen.
Make sure you are always protected. See the post I put up tonight on Protection.
So meditation is the key there are many books and tapes available from most bookstores.
I know the John Edward books and tapes are excellent.
I don't like recommending books you will find if you let your ability guide you the books will find you.
There is no short answer to any spiritual question. The reason being that each answer flows into the next subject and so on. I can talk for hours on any subject I find it so fascinating.
