Subject: Today's Topical Author: Scooby Goo [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 10:30:01 10/10/01 Wed If you were in a grocery store and picking out broccoli, and one of the peices fell out of your hand and rolled a considerable length away, and an 85 year old lady was watching, what would you do? a) run after it and put in back in the pile and pick another one? b) completely ignore that it even happened and move on c) get it, blow it off and put it in your bag? This happened to me the other day, and i am not sure i made the right decision. BTW one of the produce men is a dead ringer for Bryan ( pookie ) Yale of Matchbox Twenty. I'm not so sure I made the right decision either. I picked up the fallen head of broccoli, blew it off and put it back into my bag. That old lady thought I was so good and honest! But then . . . while the old lady was squeezing 15 or so cantelope checking for "freshness" I switched my tainted bag of broccoli with hers. Now we are all happy! I would never be caught buying broccoli so I will substitute it with beer. If i had selected a six-pack, and was walking to the checkstand, and one popped of it's holder thing, and rolled away...I would defenitly have to go back and replace it with a fresh one for 2 reasons. First because I will be drinking them all in a matter of minutes and the one that dropped would foam like a sonoabitch and that would suck. Second, it would of bruised it's flavor and would not taste good. Being the beer conisueur that I am I would notice it immedialty, and would not enjoy drinking it like the first 5 I had already had.
