Subject: Devils and Dragons

(The camera fades in on a club scene with a near rave flavor to it as the thrumming of Fluke's Zion can be heard. Bodies writhe close together as strobes flash over them all, making the movements seem like brief images flashed then taken away all for the patron to observe before giving over a new one. In one flash, she is not there, but in the next, Karma is standing to the side, watching from a balcony above the main dance floor. Slowly, the camera zooms in on her as the music surges to the next wave.)

Karma: I once wondered why I found this sort of thing so fascinating but then I started spending more and more time doing it and finally, my question was answered. You learn so much about people just by watching. It's part of why I became a bartender and part of why I am here in teh HWA now. Karma...she always watches, always makes notes and always, in time, makes certain that all is done in life is repaid justly.

(Karma steps away from the balcony rail, walking with a predator's ease about her movements and conciously or no, still keeps time to the beat, ehr footfalls coming on teh downbeats)

Karma: Steven and Lilith...I must admit, I like the sounds of this already. I am certain that Santiago and Mr. Logan will approve as well. This already makes a formidable team, don't you think? Some would almost say the cards are stacked in our favor. I have seen other alliances within this federation, but I must admit that this one intrigues me more than most and so we will all have to speak very soon. How shall we meet up though? Barbecue? Beach party? Somehow none of these quite fit.

(Karma laughs, shaking her head)

Karma: Forgive the bad sense of humor. I have been around Santiago too long. No, I am sure we will arrange something, won't we? For the record, no offense taken but I do appreciate the apology. Already, you show yourself honorable. I like that. Now...for the ones that may be wondering exactly what is going on here?

(Karma looks up, studying the camera, then steps closer)

Karma: You will find out in time but if you want to possibly sign up for the next generation of badasses? Come find me. Ronnie, Bladerunner...you have my respect. Kemono? I am wanting to see you show me what you can do. I heard of your greatness and I wish to witness it. Captain Fear? I believe Santiago said it best. Fuck Fear.

(Karma takes a step back, grinning in thought, then looks back at the crowd, smiling to herself, then looks back over to the camera)

Karma: Then again, I am almost certain that's the first time the good captain's heard those words in reference to him in quite a long time. Even a wench would have her standards, I think. Bring your little scalliwags if you have any and I can almost promise they will be handled. Just you and the Devil. Let's see if you are the nightmare you swear that you are.

(The camera follows her gaze to the club then fades out once more)
