How about beaufiful music? Nothing but lite instrumental renditions of pop favorites. In other words, elevator music, the kind that KMXU used to play. There's nothing like it for those times when all you want is background music. Too bad that the format has become so unpopular that there is probably only about a dozen stations nationwide that still do it. And some of them (particularly the ones in retirment communities in FL and CA) heavily mix in adult standards from WAY BACK ... too far back for me! I want no vocals, just instrumentals -- and go real light on the smooth jazz.
