Yeah... The Touch... Brad Stone was programming it... he's now doing "the red zone" on KALL and is their utility sports guy... great guy. great on air... etc... Max Sirstins was the manager... but their was one weird thing about the station... The guy who owned it... really bought it be able to broadcast some pov stuff... and that always seemed to bother everbody there... can't remember what it was though... But I Think that when they signed the station on they kicked it off with "New Frontier" by Donald Fagen... Nightfly... WHAT AN ALBUM!!! Now while we're on the subject (nice segue, huh??? I oughta be in radio!) how about "Everything must go" the new Steely Dan album??? Some things are reminiscient of "Two against Nature" but the overall tone of the album is not as dark... and compared to Kamikeriad (is that how you spell it???) way less "mechanical" Pieces feel likes bits of Gaucho, Aja, and maybe even back to some Katy Lied, Royal Scam glimmers... I like the funny little "blow in it keyboard" used on godwhackers.... last time I heard them use it was "Centuries' End".... The Touch was just ahead of it's time around here... and NOBODY has really done a good job or kept their jobs rather... playing the BEST Steely Dan/Fagen stuff!!
