I can't speak for others, but taking to some people at KSOP they're "CD tower of power" which I saw when I took a tour two or three years ago is gone, replaced by totally computerized music.

As long as it's not a 128 MP3 or something horrible sounding, I don't care. However, I think that Phrophet system they use at Clear Channel really must over modulate stuff, because all the FMs and even KALL and KNRS sound slightly distorted sort of.

Of course this is on an old crank-the-dial, pull-out-push-in-presets car radio from the early 80s . . . Maybe it just can't handle the loudness of it.

Whereas KBZN sounds really good on it. Maybe they don't use a computer system that over modulates stuff?
