CONTACTLESS SMART CARD TRAVEL PASS LAUNCHED BY NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL WITH SYSTEMS DESIGNED & SUPPLIED BY ESP SYSTEX
------------------------------------------------------------
The Transport Industry first was established by Nottinghamshire County Council with the launch of their new "Freedom Card" concessionary travel pass scheme The contactless smart cards which are encoded; personalized with a colour photo, the holders name and full colour graphic designs are all generated by the Freeze-Frame systems manufactured and supplied by ESP Systex Ltd of Hull, England. These neat desktop units incorporate all the elements of a complete photo ID and processing system in one portable enclosure. Nottinghamshire County Council employ these Freeze-Frame units for their "roadshows" which they are running at centres throughout their region to take the card production systems to the customers and generate travel passes while they wait. The whole process takes only one minute twenty seconds to print and encode the passes and they expect to generate some 24,000 Freedom Cards over a four-week period. There are many immediate and future advantages from use of these "smart ticketing" systems including: -- Fraud reduction and control -- Accurate remuneration of transport operators -- Improved management data for better service provision -- Elimination of paperwork and administration -- Future extended uses for the cards - entry to leisure facilities; proof of age; school/day centre meals; libraries; electronic purse etc. Moreover, this landmark development paves the way for adoption of countrywide standards for travel across administrative borders and the various transport operators (bus, train, light railway, metro systems etc). The Mifare standard contactless smart cards used in this scheme are supplied by Schlumberger who have worked closely with ESP Systex and Nottinghamshire County Council on this project. ESP Systex provide professional systems design and consultancy services for systems incorporating leading edge card technologies.

What do points make ? ………… LOYALTY !!!
Belfast's hottest new lifestyle venue, the Edge, has rapidly established itself as the place to be and be seen on the vibrant Laganside riverfront and their customers enjoy the benefits of a well constructed Loyalty system using prestigious cards designed and supplied by ESP.
Set on three floors overlooking the Lagan, the Edge brings a new dimension to Belfast's river front with an air of relaxation that emanates from it's stylish "coffee culture" Port Bar with mellow jazz, to the exciting cuisine of the Bank Gallery restaurant. With it's riverfront terracing and sumptuous function room it's no wonder that people while away so many hours here and come back time and again to try something different !!
------------------------------------------------------------
Loyalty is about getting that feel right..…about affinity and association……and about incentives. The management of the Edge understand how a well constructed Loyalty scheme can be central to a successful customer management and information strategy. Naturally they chose the best in the form of the Total Loyalty software and Epos systems from local specialists P & P Business Equipment and some really stunning membership cards from ESP Systex. The cards themselves feature a full colour graphic design to the face of the card sponsored by Smirnoff and the reverse includes an "electric blue" logo; gold foiled sponsor logo and of course a magnetic stripe encoded with the members number. The chic design and quality feel of the card fit perfectly with the image of the Edge and are no doubt seen as a prestigious affinity symbol by their holders. Let ESP Systex's skilled graphic designers loose on your logo and corporate message and see the results. You too can realise the benefits of a well managed customer loyalty program…….. go on, get the Edge with the Card !

Flagship Portsmouth Flagship Portsmouth at the Historic Dockyard has dramatically reduced the time and administration involved in producing its season tickets by installing E.S.P Systex's FreezeFrame photo ID system.
------------------------------------------------------------
As people arrive at the Flagship Portsmouth Visitor's Centre, they are offered the option to purchase a season ticket, which gives them unlimited access to all attractions for a two-year period. Those who take up the offer are directed to the Season Ticket Desk, where their details are taken and produced for them within minutes on the FreezeFrame unit. The season ticket includes their photo, their name, the expiry date and their membership number. On the reverse side of the card, there appears the Trust's logo, address and details of season ticket entitlements. At the end of the day, all the information of the names and addresses of all the new season ticket holders are down loaded from FreezeFrame and imported into the Marketing Departments database. This allows a regular newsletter to be sent to the season ticket holders with the minimum amount of effort. The Installation of E.S.P Systex's FreezeFrame has resulted in significant time saving in both production of the season tickets and in the database creation. Previously the tickets were created from a photo-laminated pouch. Because the tickets could not always be issued immediately, there would be confusion over matching up names and pictures. In addition the address details were hand written each on a different form, creating up to 150 sheets of paperwork to process each day.
