From the Mot settlement and with the entities expansion into the U.S. (and elsewhere) it is bringing forward past values and then what that is doing is contributing to eps, Proton though while overall longer term in nature will have an immediate positive effect in this half, due to timing arrangements, quite apart from NTA.
Bonds have been raised now and this will confirm the veracity of the company's plans and ultimate success. In other words NTA is the beginning----not the end--hence the share trend overall good days and bad days granted as any share does>>>the overall trend though>>>northerly. ERG Group today announced that it has agreed the main terms on which Export Finance and Insurance Corporation (EFIC) is to provide performance bonds for projects won by ERG in Seattle, Stockholm and Washington DC.
The performance bonds comprise bonds of SEK 45 million (A$9 million), US$2 million (A$3.3 million) and US$8 million (A$13.3 million) for the projects that have been awarded to ERG over the past two months.
All projects involve ERG supplying integrated transit smart card solutions and then providing operating and or maintenance support. The total value of the contracts is over A$200 million.
Under the terms of the offer, EFIC will provide performance bonds to ERG's customers. The bonds will allow ERG's customers in the three projects to make progressive payments to ERG and significantly reduce ERG's cash exposure to the projects.

As part of the terms of the transaction, the purchaser will pay a milestone consideration to ERG based on the number of cardssold by the purchaser to ERG or it's customers.As this consideration will not be recognised on the settlement of the transaction a recoverable amount writedown has been made against the carrying value of the asset as at 31/12/02.	revenue-milestone consideration from the purchaser will be recognised in the year when it is earned."The milestones relate to the sale-ERG or its customers of smart cards that incorporate-ST chip.
