Date Posted: Friday, January 24, 10:07:12pm G'day everyone, ------------------------------------------------------------ The San FranCisco contract is a hard one to judge. Cubic were awarded a contract to install hardware in 1999 for one component of the system (BART - train system 18 stations). ------------------------------------------------------------ In February 2002, ERG were given the go ahead to begin a six month trial for the smart card system. This was Phase One and would have been completed around August 2002. ------------------------------------------------------------ Cubic were then awarded additional contract to supply and install hardware at additional sites within the BART system (this system is one of six within San FranCisco). This was awarded in October 2002. ------------------------------------------------------------ If hardware installation for this system is any guide and it takes six months to install hardware, then Phase 2 of ERG's clearing exchange system should be announced in February or March. If it takes longer for additional hardware to be installed, then announcement time will take a bit longer (not much longer). ------------------------------------------------------------ This will be a site that runs ERG's MASS (multi-applicaiton smart card solution). When news is announced not only will it be good that ERG will start to earn recurring revenue from software implementation, professional services and financial transaction processing, but it will be a boost for ERG's technology platform into the future. ------------------------------------------------------------ Best of Luck Lost ------------------------------------------------------------ [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
