 right, i'd like to clear it up on our behalf and hopefully get it off the forum and out of everyones systems. at first when i was told a very one sided story about nigel i thought that he was a bit dodgy, treated the bands with a lack of respect but then i got more sides of the story and actually thought about the whole putting on a gig process. The bloke isnt trying to rip anyone off, he is actually keeping our scene alive and getting the bands in. Local bands may get a shit deal on the moneys side but thats because at nearly every smash it up gig theirs an out of town band who have had to get down to hull. they need the money more then any local band and quite frankly its not done for money, its done as a form of enjoyment, a passion. i think people should realise that this guy is keeping the scene alive, is putting on gigs and doing us all a huge favour. i think if you just listen to the bad stuff that cheesed off people have told you then your missing the whole point of having a united scene. fuck the money, go to the gigs, start a band and play. end of story, keep sorting stuff out nige as all this will clear up in time and hoprfully the scene of past years will be back with plenty of gigs again.
