Subject: ZZR1100 D6 - Pinking or something under heady load

Any one got a clue on the following?
When I open the throttle and pull away hard from a junction I can hear the engine making a tink tink sort of noise I think this is called pinking.

Why does this happen? Is there anything I can do to stop it? Is it to do with timing? Can the timing be changed as its electronic?

Also, I have tried 95ron and 97rom fuel but I still get it on either but I think its not quite as bad on the 97 unleaded stuff. Would good old 4* help?

Had a D1 and it never seemed to happen on that bike.

Any ideas much I'd be grateful

Richy
