Subject: zzr60 road noise?

Is it usual to have a fair bit of road noise from the front??? My S reg zzr600 seems to be a little too noisy? almost sounds like a constant grinding sort of vibrationy type noise!!!
The bike is fine everywhere else - other than sometimes the front brake seems to 'judder' regardless of speed or corner etc
I wonder if it could either be discs, forks a bit dry? or maybe a wheel bearing? -
Any ideas??
