Don't panic, it happens to us all. Mine's a ZZR600 but they all have the same problem.

Best bet is to invest in a set of braided hoses and take these straight from the calipers to the master cylinder, leaving out the damn splitter. Cost about £50 from most places, mine are Earles and work well.

Also invest in a brake bleeding kit - it makes life easier, about £10, but you can do it the old fashioned way if you like.

All you need now is plenty of fluid and time and you will get rock hard brakes.
