Yep. exactly the same. ZZR1100 D7 1999 about six months ago, I think the only cure is amputation. The circuit board is not protected from the elements or more particularly condensation and the sod corrodes. If yours is 'factory fitted' (big joke!) as mine was it will not have been connecteed to the fuse box in a safe and reliable fashion either. If you've got the patience/competence then you could remove it and rejoin the necessary circuits yourself or you could fork out the 320 ish squids for disconnection and new META (better by far).
