No they are 12V - Heh, I think you meant 5W?
The ones I took out were 1,2W, but I could not find anything smaller then 5W, so I fittes them, can see it's brighter, no problems so far...

They are the funny bulbs that do not have a metal cap - just wire coming out of the glass blob...
