“Welcome.” He says, gently nuzzling the mare to accept her into the herd. “I am Soldier and I will care for you and any of your young yet to come. Please, make yourself at home and roam about as you please. If one of our own is stolen, alert me instantly for bachelors prowl these lands like predators. I do not want to lose a single mare. I will not force you to mate, but it is to be expected that I and a mare will disappear for a short while, don’t be alarmed if I am gone from here for a few days. In this herd there is one lead mare and that will vary with activity and RPing skills, the others are still important by far, so don’t discourage if you are not picked, you will be soon.” He steps back and bows his head like a courtier for a young maiden, and then turns and gallops off, kicking his heels up like a young colt. He was vibrant and full of energy and was ready to make this the best herd possible for mares, fillies, and colts.
