Though the wise know this is our darkest night,

Justice hides, under fate's despotic hand,
Blind both to the wretch and cenobite,

As empty lives fall short of what was planned,
All look to the sky, though it deems their plight,
No more important than a grain of sand.

The skein of time unwinds, too slow to stand,
Hope clasped to the heart,like the widow's mite,
Alone, alone, all walk through no man's land.

As if from heaven's gates,forever banned,
We wander lost,to deem what's wrong and right
No more important than a grain of sand.

Follow the few who lend a helping hand,
In this abyss, they are the only light,
No more important than a grain of sand,
