I DON'T HEAR YOU ANYMORE

I hear birds singing in the trees,
I hear the gentle-blowing breeze,
I hear the clouds go rolling by,
As Mother Nature sighs a sigh.

These ears no longer hear the din,
Nor listens to the coax of sin,
Nor do they hear my cries of pain,
That dragged me down time and again.

I hear the waves caress the shores,
I hear the thunder as it roars,
I hear the wondrous symphony,
Of peaceful love that comforts me.

These ears no longer hear the lies,
Nor listens to the alibis,
Nor do they hear the twisted truth,
In which I feel for in my youth.

I hear the voice that sings inside,
I hear the song of senseless pride,
I hear the angels flap their wings,
I hear the chorus as it sings.

These ears of mine don't hear a word,
Nor comprehends the things absurd,
Nor listens to your misplaced cue,
These ears can't hear a thing from you.
