TV guide über sie

Emmy nominee Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis, GH) jumping right into Hot Topics on The View. "Of course I was [nervous]," she declares of her stint as guest host. "First you have to think of something to say... And you want to remember you're a visitor in these ladies' home. You don't want to do anything to tee them off." A mere 48 hours before daytime's awards ceremony, the outstanding lead-actress contender is maintaining her cool. "Considering the odds [GoldDerby.com] gave me, I'm totally relaxed," she says with a chuckle. "I'm teaching my daughter the importance of losing." If she does take the podium, Grahn knows who she'd like to thank. "The people that never get mentioned: The hair, the makeup and the crew, and my friends who schlep around with me," she explains. "There's plenty of people that no one ever thanks because of the heirarchy of thanking, and there's so little time. I could take the whole three hours." Grahn will still have two Emmys in her possession, even if she doesn't score the top prize on May 16. "My Emmy broke during an earthquake, so they sent me a new one," she explains. "But then my dad fixed the old one and they kept it in his house." That's not to say she doesn't want another. "My [new] Emmy is in my bookshelf. It has cobwebs and it needs a friend."
