Kyllä russelista on noutohommiinkin. Itse pidin nuorta russelia sorsanpyynnin aloituksessa mukana, koska koira oli aivan noutohullu vedessä kesäaikaan. Ammuttiin telkkä joka tippui suolampeen. Koirahan kävi sen uimalla hakemassa, eikä isännän tarvinnut sukukalleuksiaan kastella. Kyllä koira nautti tuostakin hommasta, vaikka telkkä ei aivan yhtä mieluisalta haissutkaan mitä supikoira.

Mäyrän pyyntiin russeleista on juuri tuon takia, mitä Russelistikin kirjoitti, nimittäin ne yleensä ottavat opikseen asioista. Oma koira on nyt ollut muutaman kerran mäyrän kanssa pesässä, viimeksi tänään. Kyllä sen tohtii jatkossakin mäyrälle laskea.
