Jos terrieri on puutteellisen kurin takia ruvennut "kukkoilemaan", niin silloin ei koira ole epänormaali tai mielenvikainen. On vaikea ottaa kantaa sinun tilanteessasi, kun ei tunne tapausta tarkemmin. Jos koira tietää paikkansa lauman alimmaisena ja silti siinä ilmenee agressiivisuutta ilman järkevää syytä niin silloin kannattaa lopettamista miettiä. Jos taas ongelma johtuu siitä, että koira luulee olevansa perheen päällikkö, niin silloin suosittelisin pikaista tapakasvatusta koiralle. Tässä tapauksessa kannattaa kysyä neuvoja kokeneilta terrierikasvattajilta.
