Well put...just taking a section of your entry...at Newsong the church I go to in Irvine has the philosophy of the 3 C's (what you wrote reminded me of it): Christ, Community, and Cause...

Christ is having a personal relation with Christ

Community is having a group of bros and sis that you have fellowship with and love

Cause is sort of like the "so what?" it calls you out to make a cause and serve
