Thanks to Silk for helping me with this as well.

For bold, you do a left arrow (<) the letter "b" and a right arrow (>) at the beginning of the text that you want to be bold. At the end of the text you want to do the same combination but add a back slash in front of the "b" to end the bold.

For italics, you do the same thing but put an "i" in place of the "b".
