Subject: Indy IV, Narnia (Some Spoilers).

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls
Negatives: relatively stupid storyline (from George Lucas, as impossible as that may seem to believe!); too many sidekicks (not that any of them were independently bad - just that there were too many of them); lack of a real villain (Blanchett's good, but little more than a sidekick herself); some real corny lines ('None of them were you baby'. Ewww).

Positives: Harrison Ford plays Indy as well as ever; a decent attempt at continuity (although Karen Allen's acting is pretty mediocre, at best); the acknolwedgement of the passing years (which I think was important).

Verdict: Wasn't bad. Just wasn't great. Reminds me of those reunion shows television sitcoms are always pulling ten years on.

Could've been great but, I suspect, for George Lucas.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.
Lacks the majesty of the original, and derivative of The Lord of the Rings (the Susan character becomes Legolas; the trees! the trees!) and several other movies (that mouse is a rip-off of the Puss from Shrek 2).

For a movie which is sort of a children's flick, you wouldn't believe the body count either - can't believe how many people are killed by the Pevensie kids alone. It's worse than Rambo.

Like Indy; not bad, just not great.
