I don't know what it is, but Family Guy (ad it's "sister series" American Dad) just never struck me as very funny. Every joke seems terribly repetitive (there should be a drinking game based on how many times Peter says "This is just like the time..." leading into a flashback joke), and the pop culture references always felt forced, like they were trying REALLY hard to get me to laugh.

I will however give Family Guy credit for being much, much funnier than the Simpsons right now. It's sad to see how far the one-time funniest show on TV has fallen.
