I agree, the older robots were much cooler than the newer ones. The newer ones were totally creepy. I had a hard time warming up to Sonny and even in the end I kept thinking he was going to do something nasty.

Why do so many people dislike Will Smith? Is he that bad? I feel like I always have to explain myself when I say I like him. I've been a fan of his since "Girls of the World Ain't Nothin But Trouble!" I'll go Old School with my D.J. Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince tapes any day of the week. That being said, I like Will Smith, but I'm not a huge fan of his movies. Independence Day I didn't like. I didn't like either of the Bad Boys movies. I couldn't make it through Enemy of the State. I did like Men in Black and I tolerated Men in Black II. Wild Wild West had a lot of potential but was a total trainwreck. Legend of Bagger Vance was OK. I never saw Ali.

I've heard rave reviews about Jamie Foxx's portrayal of Ray Charles in the biopic "Ray". I'm really looking forward to seeing it done. I heard they also recruited other singers to depict some of Charles' contemporaries like Sam Cooke, Quincy Jones and Jackie Wilson (Usher). Should be good.

I'm familiar with the Johnny Cash film. I'm willing to give Phoenix a chance with the part, because I like him. I guess they are filming it right now. Also onboard for this film is Cleveland's own Robert Patrick of T2 fame.
