The Phantom Menace - it's a movie which suffers from multiple personality disorder, unsure whether it's catering for kiddies or adults. I've always suggested it should've been cut two different ways for both audiences. However, it does feel like like a standalone movie which should've existed outside the trilogy. I mean, who wants to see Anakin as a kid? And it's also impossible to reconcile Anakin as a kid here and as a young adult in the next flick.

Attack of the Clones - the first half an hour should be cut, as it's extremely cliche-ridden: you have the bugs being inserted to kill Amidala (hey, if you can open the window, shoot her!), the "car" chase, and the murder of the would-be assassination just as she was about to give up the name of who hired her.

That first thirty minutes should've been covered in the opening written narrative, and the movie itself should've begun with Anakin being assigned to protect Amidala, and Obi-Wan going to investigate the clone factory.

This also should've been the first movie, as it looks as if Revenge of the Sith will cover Anakin's turn too quickly.

Finally, as for the lovesick dialogue between Anakin and Amidala which everybody seems to despise, hey, they're teenagers, that's the way lovesick teenagers talk.
