I FINALLY got around to seeing Collateral. Being a huge Michael Mann fan, I think my expectations may have been a little too high.

I thought it was a good film, but I was expecting it to be better. Fox was indeed good. Cruise was okay, but I felt he got a little too Terminator-like towards the end. I didn't like how unceremoniously the police officer was killed. I felt the character was intriguing, but then he was written out before he had a chance to add any edge to the movie.

I wasn't too big of an "Ali" fan either. I'm hoping Michael Mann's next movie is something spectacular like Heat, Last of the Mohicans, and The Insider.
