And particularly clever the way they adapted it - keeping the premise the same, but bringing it into the 90s. I've already mentioned I think Gary Cole is underrated - whether he's being menacing (American Gothic), deadpan (Brady Bunches), or obscure (the uninspiring I, Spy), he's legendary.

I agree about Scooby Do. Matthew Lillard did will with Shaggy despite the script, but the rest sucked. I named the movie my worst of 2002.

My worst of 2003 is not only another adaptation, but a sequel, too - Charlie's Angels 2: Full Throttle. That was equally as bad as Scooby.
