Subject: So I have a stack of videos...

...to get through - weekly rentals from my local video library, (which will one day be reclassified a DVD library, no doubt), and last night I made an effort to get through a couple of them.

First was Fear Dot Com, which pretty much attempts to capitalize on the popularity of The Ring, and stars Stephen Dorff and Natasha McElhone.

The question which immediately pops into my mind is what the hell happened to Dorff's career? It looked like he was heading into A-List material, and now he's making crap like this (and is actually essentially supporting for McElhone).

Then I watched...The Hot Chick, starring Rob Schneider, and I can again ask my question: What the hell happened to this guy's career? He's another guy who at least seemed headed for A-List comedies, but had steadily deteriorated with each release.

As a sidenote, Robert Davi had a bit part in The Hot Chick and I may again ask...What the hell happened to this guy's career? He was never an outright star, but he was a good support actor, and now he's appearing in piffle like this?

Finally, I chose to watch the movies in the order I did because I didn't want something intended to be disturbing - Fear Dot Com - to be the last thing on my mind before I went to bed. Even if it was bad (which it pretty much was) I didn't want its shlock images prevalent in my head.

Well, they weren't.

Fear Dot Com was totally overriden by how bad The Hot Chick was. Now that was disturbing! Whoever would've though that'd be the case?
