it's the oscars, it's hollywood. approach both entities with contempt & you realise it's just best to ignore most stuff that comes outta the US.

by the way, i'm not sure many people realise just how far peter jackson's come so quickly - i think it was only about 10 years ago he released 'bad taste', a truly classic college production full of cartoonish gore, splattered brains, weird kiwi accents, & an absolutely mental soundtrack from a melbourne death metal band.

& then of course there was 'meet the feebles', a bloody classic film. anyone seen it?
