While he has some clever dialogue, I think he's one of the most overrated pheomenas in Hollywood.

Reservoir Dogs was good, but apparently a total rip-off of a Japanese movie.

Pulp Fiction was...I'm still undecided. Take the dialogue out, and there's nothing really redeeming about it. It's about nothing. There's no grander picture. Also, I thought the mini-stories should've tied in more emphatically.

Jackie Brown was shocking, and it was an adaptation, too. But Tarantino's infatuation with Pam Grier resulted in these overlong shots concentrated on her, which might've been okay if something was happening.

Anyway, I don't mind references to other movies, because they can be like tributes. But it seems to me Tarantino confuses tribute references with plagiarism.

And then there's the fact that he's a really, really, really bad actor.
