Subject: "Enough"!

Saw this Jennifer Lopez gem last night. Don't ask why. All I can say now is I want two hours of my life back. The movie was a shocker, which led me to thinking that J-Lo's film track-record is actually pretty appalling. Here's her filmography from the Net...

Gigli - well, everybody's heard how bad it is.

Maid in Manhattan - my 18 year old female cousin saw this and thought it was just average. Considering she's the demographic this movie's aimed at, I think that says it's pretty damn bad.

Enough - shudder.

Angel Eyes - fluff. (Was interesting when it looked to be following a supernatural tact, but fell away from that).

The Wedding Planner - harmless enough. (More of a Meg Ryan movie).

The Cell - could've been all right, but the end result was more schizophrenic than the killer.

Antz - provided the voice of one of the characters, I couldn't handle this. Woody Allen's voice spoiled it for me.

Out of Sight - grossly overrated, I thought, (as all the adaptations of Elmore Leonard have been).

U-Turn - okay'ish, although J'Lo was only part of the supporting cast.

Anaconda - ~SHUDDER~

Selena - never seen it, heard it was average.

Blood and Wine - never seen it, gonna guess it's terrible.

Jack - played Jack's teacher in an average movie, (what a shock - an average Robin Williams' movie).

Money Train - it's a Wesley Snipes-Woody Harrelson movie...what more needs to be said?

And then there's these, which I've never heard of - My Family, Nurses on The Line: The Crash of Flight 7, My Little Girl. They were all made in the early 90s, so presumably J'Lo didn't do much in either.

Anyway, this list leaves me wondering why she's still considered an A-List actor. Obviously her movie selection is terrible, her acting is serviceable, and if studios are banking on her fame as a singer...well, I just don't think that's cutting it.

Amazingly, J'Lo has the following movies coming out - Monster-in-Law, Tick-Tock, An Unfinished Life, Shall We Dance?, and Jersey Girl. It seems to me that Lopez's publicist are deciding to saturate the market to make sure people don't forget her.
