I am not here to question your decision to remove the goals, I'm just not sure I agree with the way it was done.

As a former board member, I know that the board has the ability to make this decision, but I question whether or not it is a good idea to do this with only 5 of 9 people voting for it.

Many decisions should only require a simple majority. I'm not sure this is one of them. I don't think you guys would vote to fill the pools with concrete as some have suggested, but the scary thing is that you can.

I believe the board should draft a detailed explanation for the decision that can be posted to the website or the front of the newsletter. A major decision like this should not be hidden away in the minutes.
