For 500 years you lied to me
Taught me to hate the color of my skin
But I have saw beyond your lies
And found the secret truth within
I saw glimpses of my hidden past
Seen towering temples and glimmering gold
I saw all that I once had been
And saw all that you had stole
You built your empire on little more than my flesh
Soon you saw see
Only the flesh who built it will be left
You filled your damns with the tears of the children of the earth
You destroyed and flooded the homelands of my birth
You “civilized” my forest
Cut down my trees
You raped my women
Pillaged my seas
You enslaved my people under the cross
And then after so much more told us to forget what we lost!
How can we forget?
How can we forget when we lost everything
Except the 2 things you couldn’t steal
Our brave souls and our strong minds
For 500 years you have oppressed us
Held us as slaves in our own land of birth
But it shall be this way no longer
For we now claim our inheritance as the earth!!!
