Getunderground.com is a noncommercial underground culture and arts community featuring new articles, art, poetix, music and reviews biweekly. We publish on the first and fifteenth of every month and are in search of a Senior Editor.
Responsibilities include:
• Reviewing and editing articles
• Developing ideas for features and assigning them to writers
• Maintaining communications with writers and following up on article deadlines
• Determining who and what writers, essays and articles will be published on Get Underground
Experience:
• Familiar with at least some of the facets of underground culture
• Energetic, dependable, available, and able to work towards deadlines
• Good communicator, since an integral part of the position is frequent interaction with writers and the editor-in-chief.
• Excellent editorial and grammatical skills
• High speed internet connection (DSL, Cable Modem, T1,etc.) and basic knowledge of HTML are very big pluses.
• Creativity and vision are absolutely essential
