We have a 12 week old cockatiel that we have had for three weeks now. He is very lovable and playful. However, he seems to freak out every so often and beats/flaps his wings in a frenzy. We can't seem to identify what triggers this. It usually happens after he has been out of his cage playing with us and goes back to his cage. I am so worried that he is going to break a wing doing this. It only lasts a few moments--any thoughts or ideas would be so appreciated.
