Menjelang Maghrib, seorang saudara terbongkok2 dgn tongkatnya menuju ke masjid. Beberapa kali dia hampir terjatuh.. tetapi sempat
dikawal menggunakan tongkatnya. Berhampiran di pintu masjid, saudara tersebut tersadung batu sehingga tubuhnya terhuyung-hayang ke depan.untunglah' seorang pemuda yang kebetulan berada disitu sempat memegang bahu saudara tersebut sehingga dia tidak jatuh. kemudiannya, pemuda tersebut menuntun saudara tersebut sampai ke pintu masjid.
Selesai solat, lelaki tua tadi baru menyedari bahawa pemuda yang membantunya sebentar tadi tidak turut solat berjemaah. Dilihatnya pemuda tersebut duduk termenung di pintu masjid tanpa melakukan apa2 pun. "wahai pemuda, kamu sudah membantuku menuju ke masjid, tetapi mengapa kamu sendiri tidak solat?" tanya lelaki tua sambil menghampiri pemuda itu. "saya tidak mungkin solat pakcik... saya anak iblis.."
Lelaki tua tersebut t'peranjat, tetapi dia masih mencuba bertanya, " kalau kamu anak iblis, kenapa kamu b'usaha menolongku ketika aku hampir jatuh?". "Ayahku sudah lama perhatikanmu. Ia sgt marah kerana setiap kali kamu t'huyung-hayang... dilihatnya dosa-dosamu berguguran. Ketika kamu hampir jatuh, ayahku takut dosamu akan habis sama sekali, sehingga disuruhnya aku membantumu berjalan menuju ke masjid"...
